Hello Everyone. I'm new here and ive been searching the internet for a little while now trying to find information on a 1946 penny that I have. I dont know much about coins at all and just started getting into them. But I found this strange looking Wheat penny and I'm not sure if its a mint error or if this is damage done after it was made or anything at all but I havent been abke to find any similar picture online to the coin I have.. any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks for your time and hope you have a great day

Looks like PMD. Please show us both sides of the coin, with images right-side up. This is important.

@deedee, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes someone (or something) has damaged this cent, with an odd zig-zag pattern. I have no idea what or why this was done though. Does the front of the coin show similar marks?
