Do you have to take the coins out of the capsule or do the albums accommodate for it?

The packaging will have to be broken.

Not sure. Worst case I get a binder and some blank small dollar pages.

I'm definitely getting one otherwise I have an album with no coins :) I hope they keep these separate, I really don't want to buy a proof set to just get the innovation dollars.

Those proofs are expensive :(

I thought the same but last years introductory proof was $7.95 by itself. This is four of them.
Did anyone collect the Presidential dollars? Were they the same price point?

As far as I know the presidential series came with the proof/uncirculated sets. I don't believe they were sold separately.

This would have been a great opportunity to bring back the Annual Uncirculated Dollar Set. Probably one of the better values the last time it was offered by the mint.

The Mint is letting you do annual enrollment for the AI proof set, so I'll do that. Should save on shipping and I'll get the first one also as its still available. This will be the longest set to complete, but the easiest :) BTW only 8 more days.

I'll probably wait until next year to see if they include them in the regular annual proof sets before I sign up for an enrollment.

well I was just looking at the website again.... I'm passing on this proofset for now, it's unlimited mintage and yeah....5x face. which is kind of steep for "we make as many as you will buy!".

the delaware reverse proof comes out next month and is $9.95 each for the one coin, 10x face, buuuut limited mintage of 75K. which I expect all of the reverse proofs to be at 75K mintages as long as they do them. yeah twice as expensive per coin, but probably the better buy of the two versions considering the reverse proof introductory coin sold out and are currently selling on ebay for around $20.00 each. if that trend continues I think the limited edition reverse proofs would be the better buy IF you had to choose one or the other.

Maybe after I get the reverse proofs and, I have the extra money I'll go for the regular proof set finally, but it's one of those things like most of the proof sets where it's not likely to go up and won't sell out and you just know home shopping and mail order is going to bulk deal them from the mint and pawn them off on people.

That's what I'm doing.
