I have others for that year 1993 where the A and M are almost touching.I agree though that it seems like a Close AM.

RDV-007. The space between the 'AM' is showing a close "AM". All the 1993 cents were Close AM's that year, even the proof cents.

The Close AM in the diagram does not have a space. Just to be sure; It is a fact that a Close AM could have a space as seen in my coin ?

There are only the wide and close reverses for the Memorial cents. The Wide AM has the 'M' centered between the AME. The Close AM is off to the left closer to the 'A'. Why do some Close AM have the 'M' closer and some not as close? Probably the die polishing removes the wider base to the devices. The more the fields get polished down, the smaller the devices become as the devices are tapered. The deepest part of the die is the narrowest. So if shows space between the AM area. Just an illusion the die polishing creates. So look at the location of the 'M' for centered (wide) AM. Or off centered (close) AM.

Possibly the white color liquid on the 'AM' area may have made the level a bit higher, dried and makes it look wider than it actually is? Here is the differences I could find on PCGS coinfacts page, but there are pretty consistent.
