I am aware of the large/small 1974 Lincoln Cent being a not as popular find. This 1974 D cent maybe an exception. Could someone look at this and advise me? I would greatly appreciate it!

@sharon, a straight-on pic could help, but from what I can see this looks more like a cent struck from a die with a partly broken post on the die in the location of the mintmark.

I concur with the MD and possibly a hit from the east side of the MM.

Possible damage from a vending machine - very common during this time period. Remember the gumball machines where you put in the coin and slid the handle to vend the gum?
