1937 Mercury Dime Question

I found a 1937 Mercury dime but it is a gold color. I looked at commemorative ones but they all seem to be dated 2016, etc. Is it fake?

@JM, first welcome to CCF. Second, this dime didn't leave the mint with this color, but could have been gold-plated or perhaps toned to a golden color. It would be helpful if you could post front and back pics of this coin. Thx.

It has been plated. Notice the small ticks on the rim that have scraped off leaving the silver beneath. Value is silver melt

To bad someone wasted time and money plating that one. I wonder if the plating is Gold?
