i was impressed by this 65lb 999 silver bar, if I had a couple more dollars on me maybe I would have bought it lol i also managed to chery pick a few variety large cents

Just be careful, when it comes to buying silver.
It seems to me that the current silver price is based more on the vicissitudes of international politics than anything else.
Probably best to buy pure silver if you have decided to proceed. You don't have to allow for 1): price reduction for the alloying metal, and 2): there are no refining costs to allow for.
I do have about 3/4 kilo of junk silver coins, but most of those have come as collateral in numismatic job lots at auction. ASW price paid for the junk silver only, a fair bit below melt. If I wish to sell, I will have to allow for 1) and 2) above.
