Is This A Mint Mark Or Am I Seeing Things?

Jam3dpm New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 09/29/2019 2:49 pm I'm just returning to coin collecting after 10 years and I forgot a lot of things. I can't tell if this is a D or an O mint mark or an error versus me getting old and being unable to see even with a magnifier on the phone. Thoughts? I know there were no coins out out in 1986 with an "O" mint mark so I'm not sure what this is. Report this Post to the Staff

moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 09/29/2019 4:15 pm Strange hits, depressions, and damage often appears to be something interesting, especially if that damage is on or near a mint mark or date area. That tiny depression almost certainly occurred after the minting process. But I can understand why you would ask. Report this Post to the Staff
