Hmm I found another one. Only this one is a Proof!
https://coinscatalog.net/canada/coi...onfederation

Could this be what the OP has? It is hard to tell from the photos if this is a circulated proof

Numista has it listed too in proof strike.

Hmmm... Here's a listing on ebay that shows it, too:

361900054403

But, not all silver proofs are the same. I guess it would help to know if OP's coin is magnetic.

I notice in those pictures, of the 2 proofs from 2 sites, that montcollector posted, they are the exact same coin image, you can see 2 small flecks above the queen in both pics.

I'm looking at the pics of the posters coin I see a normal business strike, on queen side, no cameo, no sharp edges. Dots and letters are not frosted. I just wish I could find one!!

I roll hunt quarters, the $3500 was total quarters over the weekend, and I think I only saw maybe a dozen or so of the 2017 quarters. none of which were a mule. Last night I went through another $1000 and again I found none.

There is a silver set of 150 celebration coins with a 25 cent exactly like the photo, only the RCM would bead only the obverse, that's the simple answer to this post, unless the coin is magnetic or the RCM symbol is different, fuzzy pic ?

John100 I looked and it's actually the 50 cent piece that has the normal obverse in the proof version as well as the 50 cent piece from the roll. But the 25 cent has the non beaded reverse like the nickel and dime.

Some of the statements made are confusing to follow in this thread...
Jeffmrtn where exactly did you find this coin? Just curious.

For what it's worth, the ebay listing I linked to above has changed. It now shows only the non-beaded obverse. That was not the case when I posted that.

It's just confusing because the 2017 150th half dollars all have the normal obverse with normal mint symbol and beads, even the proof, while all 150th 2017 nickels dimes and quarters and loonies have the different obverse including the proofs and all issues.

The coin in the picture looks like a normal business strike other than the wrong obverse from what I can see, be interesting to know how it was found

Added with edit : I have yet to find one gone trough about 100 of those quarters now, including coloured ones, though only found about 5 of those

I purchased the coin that spruett001 posted here and a few hours later the seller revised his listing with a different picture of the obverse and then canceled my purchase claiming the original picture was posted in error.

this is not a 2016 obverse. I have done and over lay you cannot match it. plus check the nose ears and mouth. the mouth on the other coin is to big. check the detail of the hair. unless its another year which one. ok I will do a 2017 that was not issued. I will also compare it against a 2018. let see what we get. here is the overlay. the II they are very different from one another.
