Wow thanks for that Rocky!! Quote: 2017 not issued for circulation. Is this the one with the Caribou on the reverse? Could you possibly compare it to this one? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces100992.htmlQuote: Now I am confused? What does this mean? Rocky is trying to figure out what obverse this coin may have. He is overlaying photos of different obverses that look like the OPs coin onto a photo of the OPs coin to see what matches it. He has not found a match yet.

MontCollector I can not get a hold of one of my sets. I went and grabbed a stock photo. they dont match at all. the one thing I am noticing as well. the queen is like she is slightly more turned towards the the sculptor. I think its time. some one asked spp ottawa to step in. this coin might be a counterfiet. if a member here has a set. if you could take a photo as straight as possible. post it here I can do the rest. it would be really nice to check this coin again the actual other coin not a stock photo.

That doesn't seem to be overlayed properly, rocky.

MontCollector yes I did that is the 2017 iused. I purchased a full set of the non issue. I think this coin is going to match the proof sets. I hope some one can put up a photo.
spruett001 I wanted to offset it that much so you guys could see the difference in her nose. but where the mint adds a coating to the proof coins. this would be just about right for a match. I hope it does, it will give us all some thinking. to for have a great one.

You can only use overlays to compare similar objects IF, and only if, you use the same camera, with the same lens setting, at exactly the same vertical angle, at the same focus, with exactly the same magnification, and in the same lighting. Anything else and you will get a distorted view of things.

So now it's a counterfeit? I don't see anything other than a normal circulation coin in the picture. All of them have frosted areas on the reverse and no frosting on the obverse. If your program can tell exactly which die was used surley it can tell a proof from a business strike.

I can check any bodies images in my program. I have been doing that for a while. okiecoiner if some one told this to you. they dont know computers.
