Ok I'm back...but this time I think I'm onto something. This looks like a double die obverse, particularly on LIBERTY. This doesn't seem to be DD or MD to me....but please let me know what you think. :)

I am seeing Die Deterioration Doubling and Die Deterioration, from the die being worn. See my tutorials, for more information, in my signature box below.

Not seeing a DDO. That year the lettering was bolder and I have a hard time with DDO's for that year also.

sometimes it can be particularly hard to to distinguish when there is heavy Die Deterioration

I can certainly understand why you would ask.

This is a case where the super up close photos make the coin look like it has a bad case of green lice.

Thanks for sharing that one as the DDD can be very tough to call sometimes.
