I live real close to the fairgrounds in my city that happens to have a huge flea market every Saturday and Sunday. There are a few usual vendors(mostly storage locker/estate sale buyers) that iv'e gotten to know over the years and they know I will buy about anything silver. This past weekend one of my guys had a 1947s and 1951d Quarters. and a 1936p Buff nickel. that he claimed to have gotten out of an expensive storage locker. I ended up buying all 3.

the 1947s I'm pretty sure is the RPM FS-501

and there is DDO for a 1951d, FS-101, but I'm not sure if the one I have is it or not.

So on the 1951 the tops of the letters in "liberty" are machine damage. The top edge is pushed toward the middle of the coin causing a ridge. if it was doubled there wouldn't be that ridge it would be a recessed smooth line. Now the bottom of the G in "God" has master hub doubling but all quarter form 1951-1954 has this. As for the 1947 I need better pics. the double for this year coin is very minor. But your mint mark looks correct for FS-25-1947S-501 for the RPM

The closeup setting is a lot better than the wider shots. So you may need two setups to get the images you really want. If you would like more information on this ask.

So far I'm not seeing any doubled dies from these images. While the coin seem to be nice hole finders in albums.

It looks like you have RPM FS-501. The other one looks normal to me.

Thank you All for the feedback!

It was the "G" in GOD on the 1951 had me wondering. I do remember seeing this quite often on these year range quarters. I will now know in the future that it's just master hub doubling and not get too excited. haha

Thanks!
