I have this 1965 Roosevelt dime that is a curiosity for me. Around the forehead, nose, eye and lip area where we sometimes see clashes with the reverse looks different to me. The upper lip right below the nose shows a separation line, the nose appears sharper and more pointed at the upper part of the nose, the eyelash appears to come out farther than the normal eyelash and the forehead has a separation line, (it has not taken a hit there), and is not rounded like that of a normal dime. Abrasion? Over polishing? Clash? Again this is a curiosity for me. The fourth and seventh pics are that of a normal dime from 1965. Thoughts?

Looks like an Over Polished die issue. Maybe localized die abrasion?

It very well maybe a combination of abrasion, over polishing and a clash. Pretty cool to look at through a loupe.

I was asked to comment. I see nothing suggestive of accidental die abrasion, intentional die abrasion, or a clash. Most of the imperfections look like hits received after the coin left the press. The crease in the forehead may be something different, but the imperfection is too small to draw a conclusion.
