I am SO sorry that I keep posting the wrong pictures. I am trying to get used to posting from the ones already uploaded. It says that a new one will replace the old one, but it didn't. Anyways, here is the FULL coin pics. (I truly HOPE.)

Few people here have experience grading this coin. I would say conservatively VG, perhaps F, but that's just a stab.

Thank you Coinfrog! Why do you think that is? Do most people stick with the more modern coins?

It's not that collectors stick with modern coins - I just don't think many members have experience with these early tokens.

Many of the early tokens were very weakly struck, although these have some very sharply struck examples. I'd say F-12, maybe 15.

Indeed, «F-12» seems to be quite accurate.

Otherwise, the photo quality is not ideal, but it seems to be the variety Courteau #077 / R.3 (Frequency of this variety in relation to the tokens issued for the 1/2 Penny 1852: +/-10.5% / So very common), from the Heaton Mint (PC-5B2).

By US standards, agree it looks like F-12.

I would give this an over all 8 due to the environmental damage.

these coins were very well made (with some soft strikes), and normal decimal grading standards don't apply. most not familiar with the series often mistake 40/45s for MS examples.

Just for accuracy this time and perhaps in the future, the grades I give for the coins that have circulated are based on a technical gradation generally used in Canada by grading companies. Thus, coin problems are not taken into consideration.

But indeed, the reverse side of this token has environmental damage.
