Spence Moderator United States 34437 Posts	Posted 10/03/2019 8:33 pm @CA, first welcome to CCF. Second, normally missing letters like this are a matter of a grease-filled die. Your second pic is a little odd in that it looks like there is a broad depression in the coin, reaching from the top of the N and E in ONE up to the rim at 12 o'clock. Is that true or is this area flat and level with the rest of the field on the reverse? Typically, this would just fill in some of the letters, but for your coin the effect was larger.
