What Type Of Error Is This - 50 Cent

Nevol Formerly nancyc Australia 5385 Posts	Posted 10/08/2019 6:44 pm For this to be a genuine error coin, what has to be considered is just how a feature such as this could possibly occur while the coin was being minted. The toothed area is straight - Are any Aussie coins minted with a straight toothed rim - No, so where in the minting process could this have occurred? Do any Aussie 50c coins (other than 1966) have a toothed rim - No, so where in the minting process could this have occurred? There's just no explanation how a coin would/could leave the Mint in this condition. So whichever way you look at it, this coin has to be PMD. I'm sure you will eventually find some errors, so hang around and keep looking. life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved Report this Post to the Staff
