coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/08/2019 12:41 pm A would leave a mark on the field. But a hit looks like it hit right on the device. It looks parallel to the rim, so something mechanical like a counter could damage that area. We just don't know. We just know it is incuse, indicating contact to the coin. This has morphed into two questions about this coin now and I am adding a couple more photos. So first question was about the hit on the B in LIBERTY and it looks like consensus is it's PMD. Second question is wether this is a WH/DD variety and which one is it. I'm guessing WDDO-003 over WDDO-006 because of the location of the die chip on the shield above the U R in PLURIBUS seems to be closer to north of R than north of U.
