The B has a vertical incused line that is oddly straight. Probably PMD but I figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks!

This is a doubled working hub, WWHO-001, or a actual doubled die.

Not enough pictures to tell.

Yes, the B in LIBERTY took a hit.

Looks like a surface contact mark on the 'B'. If it were a struck through it like wire, it would show above and below..

Here you go Levels, I think I know what you're looking for and I tried lowering the glare.

Coop, are you saying if it was a struck through it would be a deeper mark on the "B"?

CoinHI

Thank you for posting the extra pictures but I could not figure this out.

WHHO-001 or WDDO-009... these were the closest ones.

If you figure it out, let us know.
Thanks

A would leave a mark on the field. But a hit looks like it hit right on the device. It looks parallel to the rim, so something mechanical like a counter could damage that area. We just don't know. We just know it is incuse, indicating contact to the coin.

Thanks for the responses from Levelsofmadnes and Coop.

This has morphed into two questions about this coin now and I am adding a couple more photos.

So first question was about the hit on the B in LIBERTY and it looks like consensus is it's PMD.

Second question is wether this is a WH/DD variety and which one is it. I'm guessing WDDO-003 over WDDO-006 because of the location of the die chip on the shield above the U R in PLURIBUS seems to be closer to north of R than north of U. I can see no other markers on this coin though so this is very confusing plus I'm new to this. Thanks for any help.
