If it isn't discolored in the date area from restore a date, I suppose it would be worth every bit of $15.00 as a hole filler. But it looks like it might be restored to me. One of the better restored date jobs I have seen if it is. I see a lighter circular area just around the date. Look to the left at that darker curve and the 9 and 3 look kind of grainy. It doesn't make sense for the 9 and 3 to remain. Restored, you might find a buyer for $15 just to fill a hole for this key date. Report this Post to the Staff

I've done all sorts of 'garage' work on these to remove the tell-tale remnants of the etching. Worth every cent. Report this Post to the Staff

T-BOP Rest in Peace United States 18456 Posts	Posted 10/08/2019 2:58 pm Hole filler , I agree with everyone who is saying about the 2 numerals of the date barely remaining . I don't see any evidence of being acid treated and actually believe you might want to bring up the full date . I know a dealer in California who sells acid treated Buffalo keys and gets good money for them . Report this Post to the Staff
