Hi guys!
I stumbled on an 1866 P Seated Liberty dime, and I know it's a very low mintage. The condition isn't the best, but it doesn't have any real damage in my opinion. How would you grade this and how much do you think it's worth? Thanks!

Those cuts on both sides of the coin are enough to give a details grade...

I wouldn't say that! Could you give us a close-up of the MM area?

I'm not home right now, I will when I get back though. It does look a little blurry in the picture but in hand I'm probably 99% there is no mint mark...

I'm surprised to see PCGS gives a value for this coin of $500 in AG-3 and $350 in FR-2. So, it has significant value even in low grade. The scratches and possible corrosion (dark areas obverse and reverse) would likely drop the potential sale price even lower but it definitely isn't junk silver.

Offer it to some dealers and see what they will pay!

Thinking this may be a disfigured '66-S, that's why I'd like to see a close-up of the MM area.

Definitely possible; the 1866-S is worth much less in all grades. A previous owner of such a low-grade piece might have tried to make a quick buck by scratching out the S and passing it as the Philadelphia coin.

Based on the severe ED on this coin I seriously doubt that any TPG would assign any grade to this. Jaobler may be correct about the MM

I agree with Frog, most likely was an S mint coin. With all that's going on with it, FR-2 at best.
