came across this 1980 LMC, can you guys provide some feedback on the obverse, The D in GOD is huge along with the rest of the devices seem off.

I think the die was clashed and over polished, maybe more than once. The devices have been effected by the harsh polishing as well showing Die Deterioration.

The worn die is forming die flow lines around the device, making the device to look larger. If this were a doubled die issue, then the other devices around it would be affected by enlargement. Your coin shows that, but is still the same cause. VLDS die state when the coin was struck. Not a doubled die.
