I'd go with AU as well. Some references refer to this coin as "blundered I", but some consider it an alignment mark put there on purpose.

Thanks everyone, your grading skills are spot-on! But unfortunately, ICCS undergraded this one. Even though multiple experts at some highly-respected coin shops have also given it a grade of AU-55, ICCS gave this one an EF-45. Time to break this one out of the flip, so there goes $30

I'll go with ICCS on this one. I've owned many high grade Twenty Cent Pieces and this one doesn't compare well. Too much wear on the essential curl above the ear and the lower braid. It is a nice higher grade coin but if it slides into AU you'd be lucky.

Obvious wear on the hair in front of Vic's ear.

Numerous nicks and scratches, which are very hard to pick out from underneath the 'noise' of the blotchy patina; there may be a lot of them or not many,
but it would be far easier for a TPGrader to pick them out when holding the coin in hand, than we can from a single angle screen shot.

The patina makes this coin somewhat of a 'slider' from our point of view, but perhaps not in the hand of a TPGrader.

This coin is a perfect case submitting for grading, and simply accept that grading without question, no matter what that grading may be.

I will say:
AU50-55.
