Seeing Die Deterioration Doubling in "AMERICA". Nothing special there. Nice DDR though.

This is a nice doubled die reverse on a very nice coin.

Or coin damage. Note the top of the device as well as inside the 'A' is affected in a straight line. The device looks dented on the top of the 'A' device. PSD.

Then it maybe a stain then. It doesn't look like a die issue. If you had the original roll, you could could compare with other examples to see if there were more than one in that roll to confirm a die issue.

i hear ya, unfortunately this is from CRH, the center of the A is a raised surface that follows the inside profile of the A device
