If they have a "vinyl" component [I know that's vague] they could cause corrosion of the metal. If you want to use polypro capsules, you might be better off to stick with the direct fit Air-tites. jonnin Valued Member United States 128 Posts	Posted 10/14/2019 12:40 pm Having just cleaned foam from the 1960s off a number of coins, I would strongly advocate a perfect fitting plastic capsule instead of one with foam boarders. But you have to understand: the difference in materials in the time frame there is huge; we have far better foams and plastics now. But, the flipside of that is that no one has kept a coin in modern foam for 50+ years to see what happened... Plastic . just watch out for anything with chlorine in it. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/14/2019 2:49 pm I've used them for years. There are flips also, but don't use the soft flips as they cause PVC damage on the coins. I use a brother printer to label my 2X2's but discovered, the tape wrapped around the 2X2, with the edges inwards, will react with the coins.
