i found some 82 pennies that are ugly.
this one is nearly there! Die Deterioration ? I was reading a thread from last year about this coin or at least one that looked very similar.

1st one looks like LDS and the other is a plating issue.

Kiwirory, I am assuming you saw my thread on Die Deterioration posted last year? Looks like yours came from the same obverse die pair as mine. That's Die Deterioration at its extreme. Obverse and reverse die are in the Very Late Die State range. Here's the link to it. http://goccf.com/t/322204&whichpage=2#2746987

They appear to be Zincoln cents. How much do they weigh ?
