Hopefully my reply bumping this up to the top of the list will give it some added visibility to some of our members fluent in Arabic. I see the name Mohammad in the script on first pic. I also note that only in Afghanistan can I find the denomination of a coin being in parenthesis such as is shown on that first pic, but can't find anything even close on numista. Sap Moderator Australia 16810 Posts	Posted 03/18/2020 6:02 pm THe "number 1 in parentheses" is actually a "WM" monogram, presumably the trademark symbol/mintmark for whichever private mint struck this piece. The Registered Trademark logo is rarely used outside of North America, so I suspect it is the logo of an American company. I'm sure I've seen it (the WM monogram-mintmark) somewhere before, but can't find it at the moment. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
