I am new to this and figured I would check out a few coins that I tried to do as much research as possible but could not find any known errors for the years/coins. This is the first, I know the picture isn't the best to show the quality of it so if more are needed to know for sure what's going on with it, let me know. Thanks(the 2 that are lighter images had the flash on, 2 darker without the flash)

Awesome Cud find! I don't see anything other than the Cud on the coin, but it's a super cool find!

to CCF!

Your coin looks like CU-10c-1983P-01 as listed on Cuds-On-Coins.com The one pictured there is slightly different, but in the same location.

Nice find.

@Nhigl1230, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that dime is worth saving in a 2x2. Well done.

Thanks. I didn't realize how many different terms and how much I really didn't know about what makes a coin unique until about a month ago when I started reading up. I'll start another thread of a 2015 I found as well. Even after my research I'm not sure what is going on with the other one I'm going to post.

The sure sign it is a Cud? Note the opposite side. See the weakness on the 'ME' on DIME? That is weak because of the missing metal on the die on the obverse. Without that part of the die pressing, the opposite area will be weak. That is how you can tell.

See the weakness on the reverse of this coin?
