I'm not sure you have the right coin Bilbo, an NGC G-4 just went for over $1000 on heritage.

Those are the values from the Feb 8, 2008 Greysheet for a 1878-CC Seated half dollar.

It sounds like the half in that Heritage auction retailed for well over wholesale.
