1943 Lincoln Wheat Ear Steel Penny

My first steel penny. Can't seem to grade it with Photograde. Pictures with digital camera make the fields real dark... almost proof-like? Coin in person has higher luster. Last two pic were with cell phone which shows more natural luster.

I'm sorry.... should have said the last two pics taken while in a Mylar flip. The fingerprint was on flip... (still a novice). Could a cleaned zinc-coated penny still have extremely shiny surfaces? Again I'm sorry and will closely preview posts before I send them. : (

Can you post good pics of the edge? If the edge is shiny like the rest of the coin it is most likely replatted.

To me it has a plated appearance. I have several having the same look. When compared to a legit MS++ grade steel cent, the difference is considerable.
