Note all the affected areas. On a doubled die the devices would be enlarged.

But on your coin they are all reduced. Also not the affected areas are flat, shelf like, missing the contour that would have been there but the coin was damaged after the strike. So it is Machine Doubling.

Make it 101 years . Your coin is not a Liberty Half Dollar , It's called a Kennedy half .

I am 69 that will make round number perfect . I just retired and bored coin search is fun I have never looked a coin before little late now but fun thank you again

That looks like a double die. It may just be a smudged plancht or something, but very nice

The OP's coin is showing Machine Doubling. Note the reduced, incuse areas on the devices.

The last images I posted is a 1968-D DDR compared with a normal coin. I was showing how a DDR is enlarged.
