Good Evening

I have 2 1972 Lincoln Penny from Philadelphia,compared the dates sude by side and they are totally different Is there a large date and a small date variety for this year? I looked all over the forum and checked online, I couldn't find anything. I read the post on this forum,where members have stated that there is no small or large date for this year. I believe that there might be. Take a look at the date.

Obviously, the lower coin is more worn, so it may look a bit different. In my opinion, they have the same style date.

Knowing the coins were in circulation, but if you look at the number 2 on the date. Not the same.

I do know the difference between the small date and large date one will be thin in width and at the belly of the 2 before the line goes behind it that is thin and has a slight bend out the large date has a straight belly

There were no small/large dates that year. The die that struck the lower coin was over polished, removing part of the fields, thinning the devices when the widest part of the devices were reduced from the polishing:
