Just for curiosity (rest assured I will not be bidding), suppose the winner found out that it did NOT have 80 pounds of silver, and all the other identified stuff, upon receipt and inspection? What would he or she do? Just claim so and expect a full refund? Would they get a refund?

I guess if you used PayPal you can use the buyers protection but I think ebay works the same way.

Bid is currently below the spot price for the precious metals.

Now, spot price for a Picasso is another matter

Should we all pull in our resources and make a bid. I'll do $10 and want a pound of silver, you all can keep the Picasso, I have no place to hang it.

To tell you the truth I would love to go through all that stuff at my leisure . But would not spend that kind of money to do so .
I feel the same.

Don't wish for it! I had a neighbor pass away and I was asked if I could look through all there stuff, I separated the coins into piles of not worth anything, worth a little and worth more than a little, majority wasn't worth much, all good stuff was harshly cleaned and just worth melt. After doing this I didn't get a thank you all I got was did you take anything worth money? I was like (some nasty words you can't say on here).

I won't help anyone else, took a few nights if my time to be treated like that. Sell it on ebay!
