Hi! I recently picked this capped bust dime for $15 dollars to add to my type set. I was wondering what this coin would grade. I would love feedback about the coin so I can better understand what to look for in the future with some of these classic coins. Thanks in advance!

I'd say G-06, some possibility of a "details" grade because of obverse cut and reverse staining.

appears to be a weak strike on both sides. you can tell this by looking at the higher areas such as LIBERTY and the date which is more prominent than the lower set devices. the obverse has more detail than a G coin with full LIBERTY and almost complete surrounding line around it. the flowing hair has detail and the bust drape and clasp have the details in the F range.

the reverse banner has all visible letters but the rest of the reverse has lost a lot detail due to the strike. you cant have a high point on a coin that shows less wear then a low point. coins do not wear like that and therefore my weak strike assessment

technically I would say its a F coin but as previously stated I think it may receive a details designation due to discoloration and staining and reduce its overall grade to VG details

The reverse is a little weak but the obverse will get you F-12. I don't think the obverse scratches are large enough to "details" the coin.

G-6. Nice coin for the price.

Good, close to VG, a tiny bit of reverse rim merge, weak central strike as noted above. The damage in the field left of the mouth has a chance of resulting in a Details slab grade, but it would look fine in an album with your type set :)
