Won this LWC at auction last week by accident.
I always look them over anyway because you just never know.

Occasionally I've seen other examples similar to this (the TY and 1 of the date) and have wondered if I'm identifying it correctly.

Some of the devices appear to have MD (base of RTY and inside top of GOD for example) but there also appear to be a slightly smaller but secondary TY & 1 sitting on top of a lower normal height device.

I think my images captured it pretty well and hope to confirm this ID. I'm holding off mentioning what I've assumed or understood this to be until others have had a chance to chime in.
I'm going to start out with pertinent images of the areas in question first and add others if you feel the need to see more of the coin.

Thanks for taking the time to look, comment and help me clarify my muddy little mind some more.

Images with arrows.
Red for MD at the base.
Black for indicating the raised areas (with separation?)

EDIT: Thanks Chase007. I meant to add an image of IN GOD to help determine die state because I was thinking this was only a MDS coin.

It is due to a Die Deterioration, this die was ready to fall apart!

Agree. Machine Doubling. You were probably thinking about the 1909 VDB DDO-001 FS-1101:

Note how the devices that look like MD, that are really a DDO is showing enlarging of the devices? On your coin those devices are not enlarged by reduced. (These images are of the two DDO's that year. The 002 will show you the size of the normal devices.

Thanks for the input Chase007, Coinfrog and Coop.
(Sorry for the delay in the followup as I went to sleep early last night.) I was sure this was not a DDO in spite of the title on my image files.

As for what I've heard this called, "ejection doubling" (TY & 1 in this case). My understanding was that as the die pulls away from the coin, a light vacuum can form that lifts the metal (as the metal is hot and "liquid-like" from the pressure of the strike). An analogy that comes to mind is sort of like what happens to frosting if you try to remove a spatula at a 90 degree angle from a cake. The vacuum pulls the frosting in the direction of the spatula.

EDIT:
***REVELATION***
Found this CCF post on "Ejection" doubling.http://goccf.com/t/253031

So ...... It appears from Coops images in this LINK that what I've considered raised metal from a possible vacuum is just a pressure ridge? (from the die bouncing back and creating the flat/shelf-like MD)

Thanks again for taking the time to help a feller out.
