Envorimental damage...soil/rust stuck to it from being in rusty container, who knows for sure...other than it's a spender

Don't mean to intrude on your post, but I have a question. I don't have a particular coin I'm thinking about so let's just say it's a coin with a popular error but has the same type of damage as this 2011 nickel. Is it still a spender? Or do you clean it with hot distilled water, stick it in a 2x2 and see what happens when you go to look back on it a few years later. I don't mean the condition of the coin would change just that it's possible that particular error maybe wouldn't be as plentiful. Or is it a waste of space and spend it?
Thanks

Possibly that Nickel's reverse was made during a sunset.
Just spend it. Color will wear off.

Looks like someone tried to help remove it a bit faster. Seems like the coin had no shine to it all all?
