Will take another pic later today. Definitely not glue. Depressed into quarter, as if something was imprinted onto the coin.

better pics needed, may be struck through coin but the pictures would have to be much clearer, can't tell anything really from your posted photo, also as Spence said, you should always post the full obverse and reverse of the coin if you want an answer. welcome to CCF though!

I'm having trouble with the file size. When I take a full reverse photo, I am blocked from uploading it onto this thread bc it is over 300kb in size. Not sure how to overcome this?
