From the pictures, I cant tell if any letters in Liberty are visible or not but it should fall somewhere in the G4 to VG8 range. Overall, it looks like a nice low grade, problem free coin

Thanks bio, the L is completely visible, the I is mostly visible and part of B and Y are also visible. It is $24.00 and I am debating on getting it or not? It may be priced a little high?

If I remember correctly, 3 fully visible letters gets you a VG8. $24 is probably an ok price for one in Fine-12/15 (Liberty completely visible) condition but it is high for VG8. VG8 should be around $10-15 at the most.

Thanks again bio. They are hard to find and so over priced when you do find one. We only have one coin dealer around here and they are even worse than ebay not to mention it looks like a junk yard in the store. Oh well, I will just keep looking. I want to get a decent collection of Barber quarters before they go up in price but I am having no luck.

Rest in Peace

Hi! As biokemist6 stated(good memory!) it meets the criteria for VG8. All in all a nice looking coin that has seen many useful years of service. The Barber series coins are very hot. Prices are definitely on the rise! Mike

I agree with the VG8 grade and, as Mike says, Barber coinage is on the rise. While I think $24 is a little high for this coin, I think the time is coming when that won't be completely out of range. JMHO.

Looks to be VG to me. You could probably find a VG with a better reverse. But, overall it's not a bad coin for the grade.

Thanks everyone, I offered the guy $18.00 and he declined. I will continue to be on the lookout. Thanks again.
