I'm sure it's not an MS-70. As I said in my earlier post, that alone would put the price at $18K-$20K or above. I'm still hoping for a real clad planchet strike. I hope your new photos will show the edge of the coin not just the rim.

I'm not a nickel collector as I've said many times, but there does seem to be copper present in the first image on the rim under the "D". I'm looking forward to the update.

MS70 doesn't seem possible from one of the proven and accepted grading companies (NGC, PCGS or ANACS). So even an update on the name of the company that encapsulated it is helpful. Thanks for posting the images you have shared and for the company that slabbed it. PP

EDIT: Looking a little closer at the images, it looks like there is soft foam surrounding the nickel which isn't used by any of the three big companies that I'm aware. So probably in a slab something similar to BCW white foam coin holder. Here's a link. https://www.bcwsupplies.com/coin-di...-penny-white

I'm not seeing an MS-70 coin. The hit on the memorial steps made sure of that. I'm interested in seeing the edge of this coin.

Definitely need to know what company authenticated/graded it. If not one of the big three it might be hard to get a decent price of any kind.

Being clad, I dont picture anywhere near 5g.

This is the real deal, underweight & nowhere near a full

strike. But I sincerely hope you can rub our collective

noses in it. I'm pullin' fer ya!

so? basement slab hand typed insert? why not give it a star or plus designation? no pics didn't happen....how can a pic of a possibly copper dipped edge when everyone is begging for a picture of the slab. my guess is the op paid waaaaaaay too much and is still trying for a return.

Questions-For-The-Experts,87p-Nickel-Struck-On-Clad-StockThis is the obverse and reverse.I am contemplating cracking it open.I bought this and other coins from a small lot of coins for $25. So no I didn't pay much for the lot.But I'm still excited about this being one of them.
