Need Help Identifying Token Marine Lazarett (Navy Hospital Token)

I thin it is a German Navy hospital token because Lazarett is German for hosoital. I have no idea what its purpose is. Back in the day they gave out tokens that could be used by the wounded for cigarettes, candy etc. while in hospital most armed services used some form of them either paper chits, or hard minted tokens.
