QH27, thanks because I saw that thread but couldn't find it. Those letters were definitely reverse order. And mine isn't the one refernced in the link because the rim restricted second strike would be raised.
E&V, This one has definitely seen better days but there is something odd about that area through ONE CENT as well. That crease may have been on the coin when it was struck.
Spruett001, It is hard to tell but I was looking at the full curve over the T, which looked like the S to me. If it were in reverse order from
PSD this is where the R would be but there is no straight side (east side of the full curve) that would be the leg of the R. The rim letters over the real RU look deformed.
I know incuse lettering almost always indicates
PSD but
I thought there are a few legitimate errors that are incuse (but they are not mirror images)?
Unfortunately, the lettering on the rim isn't as clear as I first thought.
