Really just wanted to share this coin...sadly the 106 year old graffiti is present...or this coin would be nearly immaculate. Obviously uncirculated details.

Oh, purchased from a local antique mall, figured it was worth 10 bucks anyways.

It could be 6-year-old graffiti...

I doubt it, the 80ish year old man that I purchased it from has had it for many years...could be a birthday also I guess. Of all the coins to put back in uncirculated condition, a graffiti'd coin to choose? bleh.

Not bad if you make sure you only look at the obverse.

Don't sell the steak. Sell the sizzle.

Here, don't sell the coin. Sell the mystery. November 11, 1913 was the Great Lakes Storm that sank dozens of large ships and killed hundreds of sailors. Was this a sailor's memory of the storm? "W.E.F" is a British acronym for "with effect from," meaning the date a contract took effect. Was this a ten cent note pad for an important business deal?
