I'm more of a Buffalo nickel guy than I am a Morgan guy, so maybe I'm missing something obvious, but can anyone tell me why there's even any controversy about this dollar? Looks fine to me... what aspect of it should I be looking at for potential falseness. (Is THAT a word?) |

well its a Carson City and I just wanted to make sure it was real b/c there are people in the world who do counterfeits.

I guess that if it was my coin I'd be more worried if it was in BU condition. Do you know what I mean? As a buyer or a seller I would be more concerned with the potential for counterfeiting on a BU coin that was apt to transact for real big bucks. I would be shocked if you ever found out that THIS coin was counterfeit in any way.

Looks like VAM-4, notice the broken point on the 4th star on the right. Close CC.
Legitimate in my opinion.

Hello, I have been checking this coin out and 1st- feel it is a genuine coin. 2nd- I can not see this detail as good as I would like to, but I am not even sure if it is a VAM4, just because I do not see the detail.this is not to say it is not also. just my opinion, be well, MORGANS DAD
