The hard part about collecting a series like the Lincoln DDO-001 set, is that some are likely to be very obscure. Hard to find and almost impossible to find one for sale. here is an example, with the doubling on the 94 and along the vertical bars of the T's in TRUST. And yes, all the coins I posted tonight except the two cherry picks from earlier I found searching coins tonight. 1944 Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die DDO-001

Well done TB. This is a fairly tough one because of the subtle doubling. Congrats and keep 'em coming.
I'm curious if you search by loupe or if you project images onto a larger screen?

That is a subtle one, but a nice one.

A loupe, always an 8X loupe. Allows for quick scan of whole coin for errors and has just enough magnification to see even rather light doubling. But my scope is just a foot away on the side and so it's like one second to run something under there if it looks like a maybe.

Another question is whether you utilize a "searching stick" to place multiple coins on and glide under the loupe or is it 1 coin at a time. Thanks.

One coin at a time, unless it's a high grade roll. For those I will set all 50 out at once and scan down them. Really easy to see if something is different when looking at a lot of the same thing at once. Finding something like a 1971-D DDO-001 is much easier with this method as that thickness on the lettering jumps at you after seeing a bunch of normal coins.

The doubling on the TY is nearly invisible except maybe on an early dke stage MS-64 coin. Anyway, I could see a bit of it but I am really buried with material right now and taking sort of the minimum number of photos to show the coin and let other searchers/collectors know what to look for. Looking for the TY on this one will not turn up much on most coins but the bits I showed are how one would go about finding it.
Hope to get back to more images per coin at some point, but I'm buried in excellent material and pulling out 15-20 excellent varieties every day right now. Just can't put as much time into photography as there's treasure sitting here and would also like to get some of the hundreds of rolls of Lincolns off my floor sooner rather than later.

Thanks TB and I'm glad you're on a great run because we benefit more than you do with each of your finds!

Nice DDO. I have been on the look out for that one. Looking at your images, seeing the doubling on a circulated coin may be next to impossible. Nice images !
