This one just won't match up as well as I'd like with anything. Looks a lot like DDO-022 but does not have anything going on under the BE and the doubling on the Y looks wrong. Also looks similar to WDDO-019 but this one does not have a doubled eyelid. Anyone have any other ideas? Doubling shows on RTY and bowtie. 1943 Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die - which one or new one

I can not find a match either, the doubling on the RTY is very pronounced. Excellent find!

I can find nothing either but the 022 is the closest match. I think you may have a new DDO.

Hey TB I have this same coin waiting to go to Wiles. When I get home in 30 I'll post it here. I want to compare them.

Hi Grapes, You're up then! I've already got 10 coins with him so will be some time before I could send this one off anyway. You wait too long though and I'll scoop you!

I'll be home shortly, bummed a ride back from the Doc from the parents and am currently sitting in the last leg of traffic.

Hmm... after taking the photos I don't think they're the same die, but I'll still put the photos up.

Not sure either, but leaning toward no. But yours looks later die stage and so if I can find a die crack on mine it almost has to be on yours for it to be the same die. I will be heading out to a concert in a few minutes so that'll be later tonight. My son plays in the orchestra and I enjoy the performances.

Have fun! There aren't any obverse cracks on my specimen, but plenty of die flow lines and die scratches with some great cracks on the reverse. Then again my reverse is VLDS.

I made a side by side. There is a die scratch in the lower loop of the B that is similar, but after making this I'm pretty sure they are different dies.

Grape - yours looks like a tripled die. That NE doubling is distinct from TB's. I can't match either of them up with varieties across the various reference sites.

I think the strongest doubling is the bow tie. The channeling seems pretty fresh. I don't think I've seen the doubling on the collar before. So it might be one to run by James Wiles? Is the eye affected?
