Took a second look. this maybe the beginning of a Feeder Finger Damage, or a die gouge? That area that you are looking at is probably level with the field of slightly lower. A wider view may show the same thing going on the fields of your coin? Probably why this die was altered so deeply with polishing? I would to see a wider view of the eye and the fields to see if that is the case so I could add the images to my educational files. Report this Post to the Staff
