Need help grading my 1969 S penny I found coin roll hunting that has some original patina on it. I would appreciate your input on the grade. I think there is also a small amount of doubling. There is what looks to be a doubling under the nose as well.

The doubling is non-valuable Mechanical Doubling (MD), which is very common on 1969s cents.

IMHO, because of the slight circulation wear on the high points this would be an Almost Unicirculated brown grade.

I'll say AU-58.

I'm thinking AU55+. I've got a tube full of '69 S MD examples. Kinda cool.

With all those marks on Lincoln's shoulder I think it would top out at XF.

Thanks for all the responses. I'll post a picture of the reverse shortly. I'm new to the forum but have been an avid coins and bills collector for quite a few years. It started as a penny passion (both U.S. and Canadian) but now I seem to collect everything...just don't call me a hoarder.

to the CCF.

Impossible to provide a grade opinion with only the obverse shown. If the reverse matches it's certainly a circulated example.
