Merry Christmas everyone! So it's Christmas Day and we should be unwrapping gifts. Did anyone get any coins for a gift? I got a few but I would like to see what you all got? I'll post pictures later today :)
So post your Coins you got for Christmas :)

No coins. Nothing worth even mentioning.

I guess I was the only one that got coins. So here goes. This was my first gold coin.

I also got a proof ASE. One from West Point. She looks good with all her sisters from 2019, I'm only missing the W from the pride of 2 nations, but I don't want the Maple Leaf, and I'm not getting a slabbed one, so that one might wait.

A friend and fellow collector sent me an almost full set of Liberty nickels :) I was speechless when I got these.

And last and definitely not least I received a 1972 aluminum penny. I thought these were illegal? But no matter, its cool and I'm one of a few that has one. Only issue is that its slightly larger than a regular LMC. I don't have a space in the album for it. I'm considering getting it slabbed as its pretty rare.

That would be a larger than normal slab. I'd use it as a coaster instead.

Dang hfjacinto! Those Liberty Head Nickels are sweet. And to think I'm putting together my Liberty Head Nickel set the hard way. No coinage in my stocking. My family still rolls their eyes at my hobby. But, I did get some cash (which will go for ebay purchases) and an Amazon card (for coin books).

Cash is always nice ! I sold my wife on my coins being an "investment" not a hobby. The 2 reverse proof ASE helped :)

i am getting 5 old wheat cents for xmas: a 29-S AU, 26-D XF, 25-S VF, 20-D XF and 18-S XF. the 20-D upgrades a cruddy one in the album and the other four will be new additions to the album, leaving me with just twelve coins to find. will post pix when they arrive, any day now..

I have become so specialist in what would be good to add to my collection, that no one that I know of, would be able buy on my behalf, an appropriate Christmas present. For that reason, coins have never been able to be a part of a Christmas present gift to me. I can't even buy a Christmas present for myself. I am a highly opportunistic cherry picker, and so the timing for a Christmas present for myself would be entirely co incidental. At my age, socks shirts are very much appreciated.

Nothing for myself. My family really wouldn't know where to start when it comes to buying coins. I did give my daughter a pizza coin that she wanted and picked up a 2019 silver coin from the Royal Canadian Mint for my (soon to be) newborn niece.
