i was given this $2 2005 australian coin today in change from my local shop and it looks pretty odd to me. just wondering if anybody can give me some insight on it please

Yeah,looks a bit weird,may be a fake,they're around.
Whatever it is its stuffed,spend it back at the shop.

PMD, badly damaged. I would say it's still a genuine coin, but only worth $2. It's had a hard life.

I noodle thousands of $2 coins and every few rolls I crack I might find an example in worse condition than the posters coin.
