Excellent de-lamination! I'm sure tropical bats will comment on this.

I can't comment on rarity or value. What I can say is it's a cool coin.

I think there's a possibility that it's a strike-through rather than a lamination. But I can't tell just from that pic.

Here is another picture: Hope it helps, if you need a specific angle let me know. Did I pay well on this one or what? Thank you

$6 seems pretty good. Looks like a very nice de-lamination.

Oh you did very well. Might have split before the strike.

Obverse has nothing special on it besides a little bit of lamination on the nose of lady liberty, not relating to the reverse.
And thank you everyone!

Well you guys asked for it: Correction there is no lamination on the obverse, just damage. Sorry for the glare, the white dot in the center is on the plastic of the 2x2. I cannot take it out of the 2x2 right now.

Would like to see that one out of the 2x2, but the texture lines visible would sure seem like a super nice lamination error. Best to also do a weight just to be certain to rule out some bizarre struck through. From what I can see you'd likely be in the $25 range for a collector of such things. Would be a shade more if on the obverse. Call that one a most excellent purch ASE

Thank you, I don't believe it is a struck through, as an actual piece of the metal is gone. The right side of the coin is much higher than the left side.
So I can guarantee that, are you sure now you want to see it out of the 2x2? Now that you know that a chunk of metal is actually missing?
