I picked these up a few years back, but I really don't know much about them other than that they are Elizabethan six pence. How common are these? How would you grade them (I know it can be difficult to determine due to the clipping)? And how much do you think they are worth these days?

These Elizabeth I sixpences are fairly common but always in demand by collectors. These two are fairly worn and the portraits of the queen are almost flat. So I would grade them less than fine, perhaps good for the 1568 and vg for the 1583. They are neat historical coins. I would price them at about $25 for the 1568 and $35-40 for the 1583.

t360- thanks for the info! They are indeed quite interesting historical pieces. I guess I got a good deal when I payed $30 for the pair.
