Hopefully my last major purchase this year (yes, I've said it many times before... ).

Major coin in any grade, Congrats. Looks G-4 to me.

The rim is merged into the letters a little too much for me to call it Good, but is does look like a nice AG3. I hope you got that rare bird certified

Coin Facts
had a startling little note:
This date is heavily counterfeited, so much so that more counterfeits exist than do authentic examples. Beware of coins with added mintmarks, altered dates, or coins that have been sandwiched together. Don't buy any 1901-S Quarter Dollars without a guarantee of authenticity - REGARDLESS OF THE GRADE).

AG - nice, original piece and fairly problem free for the grade
Rest in Peace

The front in G-4, the reverse is lower, probably going to get an AG-3. I've always wanted one...

I agree with AG-3.

The obverse is a solid G-4, and you can have a little reverse letters-merging-with-rim in the Good grade, but this much merging is AG.

Congrats on this key date!

Congrats, Sikevo, that's a great coin to have in your collection.

Sigh....it wasn't that many years ago that I saw a BU example priced well below $10K. Another missed opportunity!

If you would have said PCGS from the beginning, I would have definitely gone with AG03. They are tough on these. Great buy in any grade! Congratulations. This will only go $$$$$$$!
