Found this in my box of estate sale goodies, I would assume being graded is more valuable but how rare are these.

1. I wonder how many dishonest people have tried to 'copy' improperly annealed error nickels with a carefully controlled heat treatment?

2. More importantly,
how does one tell the difference between the fake 'improperly annealed' and the genuine?

3. Obviously it can be done. Here is proof evidence that ANACS can identify the genuine error.
What is the telling evidence, such that the dishonest can be stopped.?

The photos aren't the best but I disagree with the grade that ANACS gave to this coin . IMHO that reverse is not an MS-64 .

might be MS64 (the reverse looks more 62) but mushy late die state nickels like this have never annealed, um, appealed to me
